Opportunities between Azerbaijan and European Union (EU) countries extend beyond traditional energy and are also broad in the field of renewable energy, according to Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Report informs.
He made this statement at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) held in Baku.
Jabbarov noted that among EU countries, Italy remains Azerbaijan’s main trade and economic partner: “This is explained by Italy being a key market for Azerbaijani-produced oil and gas. But we believe this is not limited to one country-currently, we supply gas to 14 countries, most of which are in Europe.”
Speaking about diversification, Jabbarov emphasized one of Azerbaijan’s distinguishing features: “Our country not only invites local and foreign investors to do business in Azerbaijan, but is also ready to share risks.”
